Palm Sunday 2014

It’s been a bit rainy this weekend, unfortunately the weather complicated our plans of yard work, but we weren’t deterred for long 😉

Decided to make the 1st attempt at reclaiming the yard from neglect. The NE corner faces the street, and we thought this was as good as any place to dig in and get raking. There were several inches of dropped pine needles, pine cones, sticks and leaves to rake out… what a big job!

Add to the work load, it was drizzling rain and still a bit chilly, only about 5-7c. There were a few discoveries made, including some tulip bulbs, a lot of wild roses, as well as some adorable spring flowers.

We wrapped up by transplanting two rhododendrons as well as an assortment of perennials and tulip bulbs.
