Hello friends!

Spring arrived and we’re loving it! Hopefully spring weather has arrived where you are too. For those of you on the other side of the Earth – happy Autumn!

Lots of things happening on several fronts which is to be expected this time of year.  Our garden activities are only going to intensify as spring slides into summer – I’m sure it’s the same where you are 🙂

In addition to spring garden chores like pruning apple trees, I pruned our 100+ hydrangea for the first time this year. Hope they didn’t mind too much & won’t just die on me!  I’ve read quite a bit on this and felt assured they would tolerate spring pruning. Limelight and Annabelle are pannicle-type hydrangea and that’s mostly what we have. The Mustila hydrangea are a little harder for me to decide what to do, so I did nothing! ha!

Between all the pruning, we put together a plan to host a Photographer’s Day in June.   Catering to Photographer’s, we hope to encourage them by offering access to the garden for limited hours for purpose of photographing botanical flowers and unique conifers.

So without further ado… SAVE THE DATE

Copy of Summer Festival - edited ready

Spring is a wonderful time in our garden – with an abundance of unique conifers, we have a few which produce interesting spring color changes of new growth, which is visible for a limited time as the new growth merges into maturity.

Abundant floral displays from dozens of different tulips, irises, peonies and roses all combine for a delightful spring scene. Surely, something for everyone.

Grab your camera and join us for a color and sensory treat!
